The Order of DeMolay 1919-2006
This week marks the 87th year of the International Order of DeMolay since its Annos Ordinis. This week also marks the 692nd death anniversary of the Last Grand Master of the Knights Templars, Jacques DeMolay, our hero and martyr whose name we have taken into our lips.
Millions of young men from all walks of life all over the world have become members of the Order since its founding in 1919. Many DeMolays became prominent in their fields of endeavor, like Walt Disney, John Wayne, John Steinbeck, Mel Blanc and Former US President Bill Clinton to mention a few. The Order of DeMolay was founded by Dad Frank Sherman Land, a prominent Mason in Kansas City, Missouri. Since its foundation, the Order is kept under the guardianship of the world’s most ancient and noble fraternity, Freemasonry.The Order of DeMolay is the main youth organization of the universal Masonic fraternity.
The Philippines takes pride in being the first to establish a DeMolay Chapter in Asia, the Jose Abad Santos Chapter which was established in March 23, 1946. Today there are more than 70 DeMolay Chapters scattered all over the country existing under the auspicies of the Supreme Council of the Order of DeMolay of the Republic of the Philippines. Philippine DeMolay has also its share of members excelling in their chosen fields like the award winning film directors Joel Lamangan and Ben Cervantes, Mayors Jejomar Binay and Nepthali Gonzales Jr, Eli Buendia of the erstwhile Eraserheads, Luke Mejares of the South Border Band, etc.
This year also marks my 25th year as member of the Order of DeMolay. Since my initiation to the Order until now I have always enjoyed the comradeship of my brethren. I consider it a unique privilege to be counted as one among the million of men around the world who have knelt before the altar of everlasting fellowship, beheld our martyr’s trial, took his name sacred and proudly proclaims, “I am a DeMolay”.

Our Order had endured the test of time and thirteen years more, we will be celebrating our Centennial!

Samat Chapter.If you want to know those mga ka brod kuno e di try to use your contacts, baka masira pa political career nila malapit na eleksiyon. sabi ko nga sayo before lagi nasa house iba bro “kuno” after what happened sa kanya yung isa nga nakikita ko sa neighbor na nagpupunta di man lang puntahan kapatid ko.bilang sa isang kamay ko kung ilan ang totoo sa kanila. the reason bakit siya nagkasakit dahil na rin sa pag iintindi sa isang ka brod “kuno” di ko na idedetalye what happen maganda kasi personal na sasabihin. i really love to visit this site just to open up things based on what ive seen and experienced. just texted my wife last night tinanong ko siya if may nabalitaan siya na pumunta sa ancestral house namin na ka brod “kuno” ng kapatid ko the answer was negative. reading some of the posted comments here kilala ko pa ung iba. sana mabasa nila ito. kung manonood nga kayo ng mga documentary about people who join fraternities, ano ba sinasabi ng mga psychologist? the best thing talaga sa pamilya. minsan nga kadugo mo na nakukuha ka pang ilagay sa alanganin, how much more ung hindi. sa pagkakaalman ko ung ibang ka brod “kuno” ng kapatid ko mga mason na.

i was browsing for a different issue when i ran with your pms and decided take a snap. you seem to be facing a blank wall when you expressed your comments/pms about demolays. although i assumed that you are an honorable man, you need some kinda ‘tune=up’ with your attitude(i apologize for talking straight up). first of all the issues is,” were all the accusations vs demolays legitimate?, second, was this all what you need to be judgmental to call all demolays ‘names’?”. for ONE to get an accurate assessment/evaluation for anything either financial, medical or support, etc or what have you? needs all the bits and pieces before arriving for a successful outcome rather than taking a shot in the dark.
when my son accelerated from 6th grade to 7th grade in san luis obispo unified shool district, Ms Hicks,the principal gave a last guiding phrase to all graduates and I quote” it’s better to praise than criticise, you are responsible for all your actions” . this same phrase was mentioned by a fellow demolay when my son joined the craft in bakersfiled. you’re not a demolay and i don’t blame you. and if the ‘situation’ of your demolay brother was true, he should know better and knows better the procedure thru his chapter for any type of support/aid needed, but not you to be judgmental. i challenge you to take all the copies of your pms to your friend psychologist/psychiatrist for evaluation, it will show that you have a ‘racing thoughts’. and if you don’t stay away from this attitude, it will take you nowhere. i’m not in any type of argument or debate. this is just my humble opinion. your pms also exhibits some honorable feature and you are honorable and a good person as i believe. however, there is still a lot of room to be a better one. good luck!
